For the 2017-2018 school year, California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV) will serve approximately 840 students in grades 7-11. Following the completion of the 2017-2018 school year, the school will serve students in grades 7-12.*

CSArts–SGV’s academic instructional program is modeled after the highly developed and refined curriculum at Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA). The 2016-2017 OCSA Academic Profile can be downloaded here.

Upon graduation, students will be prepared to attend top ranking post-secondary institutions or pursue a profession in the arts.

Based on the belief that creative artistry is fueled by intellectual insight, CSArts-SGV provides a rigorous college-preparatory academic program aligned to the California State Standards that produces high achieving, motivated scholars. The proven curriculum includes College Prep courses, Honors and AP classes, comprehensive college and academic advising, small student to teacher ratios (30:1), and full credentialed faculty.

*We are finalizing negotiations to provide programming to 7th and 8th grade students through the Duarte Unified School District (DUSD) with the following model:

Middle school students will participate in standards aligned academic classes through DUSD.

Cohorts of CSArts 7th grade students will take their academic classes at a DUSD campus of their choice.

Cohorts of CSArts 8th grade students will take their academic classes at the DUSD 8th Grade Village adjacent to the CSArts campus.
