Interview / Audition Placement Activity

All arts conservatories and programs will be offered to students entering grades 7-12 during the 2018-2019 school year. Students can participate in an Interview / Audition Placement Activity for a maximum of two (2) conservatories or programs.

Due to the artistic nature of the conservatories that is fundamental to the CSArts-SGV program, prospective students are encouraged to attend a Preview Day to become familiar with the skills consistent with the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of the conservatory for which they wish to apply.

During the application process, students shall participate in an Interview / Audition Placement Activity to determine the appropriate level of placement in the conservatory to which they seek admission.

CSArts-SGV shall admit all such applicants, on a space-available basis, to the appropriate level and the appropriate conservatory, based on the results of these placement activities. When applicants exceed spaces, a public random drawing will be conducted for a reserved amount of spaces.

No minimum G.P.A. or other academic, behavior, or performance criteria is required for admission, other than space at the appropriate performance level.

Please note: 11th and 12th grade applicants are required to provide a complete high school transcript; and 7th-10th grade applicants submit a complete, current grade level report card. All new applicants must also include a copy of their birth certificate or passport during the application process.

Please review the specific admissions requirements below for the individual conservatories and programs, as the placement activities vary.
