General Giving Information

California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley (CSArts-SGV) is a tuition-free, donation-dependent public charter school. No student is offered or denied enrollment based upon financial capacity. Through a public-private partnership, the State of California provides funding for the academic instructional program offered at CSArts-SGV. In addition, we must raise approximately $2 million to fund the arts conservatory programs each year. We rely solely on generous contributions from our families, members of the community, and corporate partners to help us reach this goal.

The collective Parent Funding Agreement (PFA) pledges from all of our families determine the annual budget for each conservatory. Any pledge or donations you make will be allocated directly to your child’s individual conservatory budget.

All cash contributions to the school are fully tax deductible.

  • If there are conservatories with parent donations/fundraising commitments that are dramatically less than budgeted, those conservatory programs may have the number of instructional days reduced to compensate for the lack of funding.
  • If your personal situation changes during the year and you are unable to fulfill your commitment, please contact Amanda Quinlan, Family Liaison, at (657) 321-4000, ext. 60011 or
