CSArts After School Program

Program Purpose / Goals

The purpose of Homework Club, is to enhance and support the growth of 7th and 8th grade students enrolled in CSArts through provision of an affordable, safe, and caring after-school environment.  The program goals are to provide guidance and care, in a quiet, structured environment, for students to complete homework, which acts as an extension of home, school, and community.

Location / Calendar / Hours

  • Homework Club will be located in classrooms on the CSArts campus .

  • The program is available on all school days beginning Monday, August 21, 2017 through Friday, June 1, 2018.

  • All 7th and 8th grade students who are still on campus after their last class must report to the designated Homework Club room(s), including all non-conservatory and early dismissal days.

  • The program is closed on all designated school holidays.

  • All students must be picked up by 5:30 pm each school day.

Enrollment Requirements

Daily Fee

  • $10.00 daily fee will be charged each day that a student attends the program. For billing purposes, a $10.00 fee is charged for any period of attendance for the day.

  • Financial assistance is available for families who qualify for the National School Lunch Program and have an approved CSArts' Free/Reduced Lunch Program application on file for the current school year.  

  • Parents will be billed monthly for their student’s Homework Club attendance.

Attendance / Illness / Absence

  • A student who is absent from school due to illness may not attend Homework Club that day.

  • Parents will be notified if a student becomes ill, or is injured.  Parents are expected to pick up students promptly once notified.  In the case of an emergency, the staff will take the necessary action(s) to ensure the health and safety of the student.

  • CSArts will not be held liable for any injury or loss of property beyond its reasonable control.

Behavior Management Procedures:

  • All School-wide Behavior Expectations remain in effect during Homework Club.

  • Students are expected to come prepared with quiet work to complete and not disrupt others.

  • A student whose behavior disrupts the learning environment may be dismissed from the program.

Sign In and Out Procedures:

  • Each student must sign in each day for attendance and accounting purposes, using their name and student ID.

  • Parents or guardians should park on Central and check out their child from the front desk. The receptionist will call Homework Club and release the student. This is the only way students will be released and it is in place for each child’s safety.

  • Students may be released to attend special on-campus activities as necessary.
