Liam Kyle performed his first place-winning storytelling piece "Shrek" at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall for the Magnum Opus Showcase


Liam Kyle (ACT, ‘27) performed his first place-winning storytelling piece "Shrek" at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall for the Magnum Opus Showcase in November 2025. Three days after the performance, Liam won second place in Informative Speaking at the Toro Country Classic Speech and Debate tournament in Mesa, Arizona. The win earned him his second bid which qualified him to compete in Minnesota at the speech national championship, the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions, in May 2026. This championship brings together the best speech competitors in the country competing for championship honors.
