As CSArts-SGV’s renowned arts conservatories get ready to say goodbye to another accomplished graduating class, seniors are preparing for the last performances of their high school careers. To help them celebrate their final showcase, we have created a list of all remaining conservatories’ senior and end of the year showcases and events. Visual Arts’ Senior Exhibition Opening Reception: The Visual Arts Conservatory seniors will present a curated collection of their stunning artwork! Join them at the free Opening Reception in the Lobby on May 9 from 3-5 p.m.
Instrumental Music’s Celebrating Music!: Join the Instrumental Music Conservatory as they perform their finale, Celebrating Music! This performance will serve as Instrumental Music’s Season Finale, featuring the work of all four Instrumental Music programs while highlighting their seniors. This celebration of Instrumental Music’s seniors will take place on May 9 at 7 p.m. at the Duarte Performing Arts Center.
Popular Music’s Spring Showcase: The Popular Music Conservatory is taking their senior celebrations to the Glass House Concert Hall! Join them for one last encore on May 14 at 7:30 p.m. at 200 West 2nd Street, Pomona, California 91766.
Creative Writing’s Senior Showcase: Join the Creative Writing Conservatory as they celebrate all of the work their seniors have done over the last four years. Produced entirely by students from the senior class, the showcase will feature readings, screenings, and displays at 6 p.m. on May 15 in the Cafeteria.
Acting’s Legacy Project: By practicing imagination and concentration, studying story structure, and exploring the creative process, the seniors of the Acting Conservatory have created and produced projects that will leave their Legacy at CSArts alive. Come see these brilliant student projects on May 16 at 7 p.m. in the Music Center Recital Hall, Room 301.
School of Dance’s The Final Curtain: The senior dancers from both the Commercial and Ballet & Contemporary Dance Conservatories will perform a solo! Support the School of Dance by attending these spectacular performances on May 16 at 7 p.m. at the Duarte Performing Arts Center.
Musical Theatre’s Senior Cabaret: Musical Theatre seniors spend their spring semester crafting a full one person cabaret about their story, then one act from each cabaret is chosen to perform. Celebrate theatre and storytelling with the seniors of the Musical Theatre Conservatory on May 20 at 7 p.m. in the Cafeteria.
Production & Design’s Crew-lympics: Production & Design seniors showcase their skills at practicum projects on productions throughout the year by supporting other conservatories’ events. They will now step into the spotlight at the Crew-Lympics, an annual competition style event to celebrate the often unseen efforts and talents of crew members on May 22 at 3 p.m. at the Northview Field.
Integrated Arts’ Thank You Cards: Join the seniors of the Integrated Arts Conservatory at their end-of-year showcase as they thank their parents, teachers, staff and everyone instrumental to their time at CSArts-SGV. They will display their artwork, show short films, and perform poems, songs, and dance numbers on May 28 at 7 p.m. in the CSArts-SGV Cafeteria.
