California School of the Arts ― San Gabriel Valley Foundation to host show-stopping 2023 Gala, Fanfare in the French Quarter

Students, faculty, and staff are gearing up for California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley’s (CSArts-SGV) highly anticipated Gala 2023, Fanfare in the French Quarter. Rehearsals have begun, outfits have been selected, and this event is now just weeks away. Following its successful Puttin’ on the Glitz fundraiser in 2022, CSArts-SGV is kicking it up a notch with a thrilling experience from start to finish.

This large-scale fundraiser will take place Saturday, March 4 at Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia, and will feature a musical celebration of jazz, rhythm, and blues! Guests will gather together for great food and great music in support of an incredible cause.

The Gala will be hosted by the CSArts-SGV Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the financial support of the school's arts programs. Gala is the CSArts-SGV Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year, helping to contribute to the nearly $3 million necessary to fund the arts conservatory training of our deserving, talented student artists.

“I am so excited for the CSArts-SGV Foundation to kick off its very first, full-scale Gala in support of the school’s dedicated and hard working students. This sensational evening of giving and music will offer a wonderful opportunity for us all to come together in celebration of our exceptional young artists and their dreams,” said Teren Shaffer, president of the CSArts-SGV Foundation.

From the moment guests check in at registration, they will be welcomed at the reception with live big-band music, jazzy cocktails, and tasty hors d'oeuvres. Inside the ballroom, which will be transformed into a bustling New Orleans street, guests will dine on a delectable three-course meal that coincides with three lively acts, performed by our talented student artists and esteemed guest artist Broadway, television, and recording artist Terron Brooks. This energetic showcase will include exciting performances ranging from toe-tapping jazz tunes to soul-stirring rhythm and blues numbers.

A live auction featuring one-of-a-kind items promises equal amounts of excitement and entertainment. Throughout the evening, guests will also be able to spend intermissions browsing the virtual auction.

To conclude the evening, enthusiastic bidding will inspire generous philanthropists to come together to support CSArts-SGV’s student artists during the Fund-A-Dream auction. Funds raised during this portion of the event go toward the school’s Artist Scholar Sponsorship Program, which provides the opportunity for students from low-income households to pursue their passion for arts training and participate in the full CSArts-SGV experience.

Individual tickets to attend the Gala are still available for $200 each. Get yours today to secure your spot! For more information about the event or to purchase tickets, visit sgv.csarts.net/Gala
