Jay Wallace, originally from Kansas City, served an integral role in both the Musical Theatre and Acting Conservatories at the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) for 12 years. Serving alongside Mr. Jeff Paul and Mr. John Walcutt, Mr. Wallace has developed a wide scope of curriculum and directed many main-stage and experimental projects during his time at OCSA. Mr. Wallace has also served as an adjunct professor and guest director at Santa Ana College.

Beyond his work as an educator, Mr. Wallace has spent the majority of the past two decades performing both on stage and screen. These diverse opportunities include cutting edge productions of Shakespeare’s classics, original world premiere musicals, experimental plays, and independent films. Mr. Wallace is a member of the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

Mr. Wallace earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Emporia State University. Mr. Wallace also holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from California State University, Long Beach and is a long standing member of California Repertory, its resident theatre company.
