MAINTAINING THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF ALL MEMBERS OF THE CSARTS-SGV COMMUNITY REMAINS OUR TOP PRIORITY

Current guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) states that all students must have access to safe and full in-person instruction and as much instructional time as possible. As such, in-person instruction will continue to occur at CSArts-SGV.

CSArts-SGV remains committed to providing a safe learning environment and will continue to follow the COVID-19 prevention and management requirements consistent with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) and the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE). At this time, this plan includes the following:

  1. Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccines are now available for anyone ages 6 months and older. All CSArts-SGV employees and students are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated. Students may submit proof of vaccination to: health.office@sgv.csarts.net.
  2. Ventilation: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems are serviced to maximize ventilation. Portable air filters are available in each CSArts-SGV classroom and office.
  3. Masks: Adhere to wearing a mask for 10 days after a positive COVID-19 test or the onset of COVID-19 symptoms. Mask-wearing can cease early following two negative COVID-19 tests taken 24 hours apart.
  4. Symptom Screening: Remain home and away from school if a fever is present.
  5. Reporting: Students, faculty, and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19 and/or are exhibiting symptoms should remain at home and fill out the COVID-19 Reporting Form.
  6. Testing: LA County will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing in schools through an exclusive contract with Heluna Health. This program provides Rapid Antigen tests administered onsite by our Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN). Please note that take-home test kits and PCR tests are no longer provided free of charge.
  7. Isolation: Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 must follow the isolation instructions provided by the LVN.

CSArts-SGV will continue to follow guidance from the CDPH, the LACDPH, and the LACOE for the safe operation of in-person learning and will inform our community of any changes.

HOW AND WHEN TO REPORT COVID-19 CASES, EXPOSURE, OR SYMPTOMS

CSArts-SGV has created a COVID-19 Reporting Form to help streamline the process for our CSArts-SGV community to know how and when to report a positive COVID-19 case.

You can access the form at any time by visiting sgv.csarts.net/COVID19Report

This form is to be used by all CSArts-SGV faculty, staff, and parents of current students. This form is also available to vendors and visitors to the CSArts-SGV campus. Please be assured that CSArts-SGV will maintain confidentiality regarding any information submitted through this form and will protect student/staff privacy following established HIPAA and FERPA protocols.

Please complete this form if you or your student have been on the CSArts-SGV campus and have received a positive COVID-19 test

Within 24 hours of completing this form, a CSArts-SGV LVN will contact you directly and explain isolation/quarantine requirements, as detailed by the CDPH. If your symptoms become more severe, please seek immediate medical attention.

RETURNING TO CAMPUS

In accordance with Assembly Bill 856, Pupil Health: COVID-19 Youth Health Information Act, CSArts-SGV is committed to supporting our students’ safe return to exercise and physical activity after testing positive for COVID-19. To speak to a member of the CSArts-SGV Administrative Team about this topic, please email administration@sgv.csarts.net.

WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP KEEP THE CSARTS-SGV COMMUNITY SAFE?

In addition to health and safety measures taken on our campus, we encourage the CSArts-SGV community to be proactive in helping to limit the spread of COVID-19 by maintaining good hygiene (hand washing), properly wearing face coverings in accordance with CDPH guidance, and getting vaccinated.
