Ms. Ann Kang holds both a teaching credential and a master’s degree in elementary and secondary education from University of California, Irvine. She has been with CSArts-SGV since its inaugural year and previously served as a middle school teacher at Community Roots Academy. There she piloted the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum, which she eventually helped implement at CSArts-SGV.

 Additionally, she spearheaded the adoption of standards-aligned instruction and assessments that provided differentiated instruction for all students. At CSArts-SGV, she has served as Department Lead and Leadership Adviser. She has also worked as an educational consultant for the Orange County Department of Education and a curriculum writer for Bridges to Readiness, an organization that partners with “caregivers, schools, and advocates to ensure all students, particularly those who have been historically marginalized, have the resources and guidance they need to realize their aspirations.” She is ardent about serving local communities by building relationships with and educating the youth.

Dr. Davis is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist who comes to CSArts-SGV with over 30 years of experience working with children from infancy through young adulthood. She holds a Doctorate, Master’s of Education and Education Specialist Degree in Educational Psychology. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Services from the University of San Francisco and a Master’s of Fine Arts Degree from the Yale School of Drama. 

Dr. Davis especially loves getting to know all of the students and helping them to be the best they can be, focusing on their strengths and what they do well. Having worked extensively in theater, she feels that CSArts-SGV is the perfect place for her to bring together the things she loves most…the arts, youth, psychology and education. She is extremely happy to be a part of this amazing school!

Mr. Davis (or Mr. Austin to his students) is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist at CSArts-SGV specializing in behavior interventions and management. He holds a Master of Education in Educational Psychology and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis, and is currently pursuing an Assistive Technology certification.

After graduating from UCLA, Mr. Davis began his career as a one-to-one Behavior Intervention Aide and has continued to expand his expertise with one goal in mind: helping students learn how to help themselves. He is passionate about helping students access classroom resources, develop practical skills, and build strategies that support both academic success and everyday life. Outside of school, Mr. Davis enjoys traveling, exploring new places, trying new foods, and seeking out new experiences. At home, he enjoys board games and tabletop adventures such as Dungeons & Dragons. Above all, he loves helping students learn while continually challenging himself to grow as an educator.

Ms. Wang is a School Psychologist, Ed. S with several years of experience working with Duarte Unified School District. She joins us with a unique understanding of our students' needs. Ms. Wang's favorite quote: "“The things that make me different are the things that make me.” My favorite hobby is re-watching my favorite television show or movie for the hundredth time. I feel that is always funnier and more entertaining the second time around.

Ms. Armstrong attended San Francisco State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Art Education. She holds teaching credentials for Elementary Education, Special Education, and Physical Education. She is currently working on a Masters degree in education Technology at California State Long Beach.

Ms. Armstrong has 10 years of teaching experience. She has extensive experience co-teaching and collaborating with teachers to create academic and behavioral interventions. She has training in positive behavior supports, restorative justice practices, and crisis prevention and intervention. Ms. Armstrong loves taking dance classes, trying out new recipes and traveling. Her favorite quote is, "Everything is figureoutable." She loves being an Education Specialist because it gives her the opportunity think outside of the box to meet the unique needs of her students.

Mrs. Hagan attended California State University, Fullerton and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Studies, a Master’s degree in Special Education, and a Mild/Moderate Education Specialist teaching credential. She has taught all grade levels TK-12 and previously worked for the La Habra City School District and Glendora Unified School District.

Mrs. Hagan loves challenging herself to continuously grow as an educator and takes pride in creating new and innovative ways to incorporate creativity and real life applications in the classroom. She absolutely loves working with the creative and inspiring students and staff at CSArts!

Mrs. Heinselman has dedicated 25 years to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Education from the University of La Verne. She also studied at the University of Madrid and holds both a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and an Education Specialist Credential.

Alisha Miranda is an Education Specialist and Wellness Center Co-Coordinator at CSArts-SGV. A proud member of the school’s founding staff, she has been serving students since CSArts-SGV opened in 2017. With 22 years of teaching in special education, Ms. Miranda is passionate about supporting mental health and helping students build resilience, confidence, and the skills they need to succeed.

In her Wellness Seminar classes, she incorporates fun, creative, and innovative activities that make learning meaningful and engaging. Mrs. Miranda earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Studies: Transition Services and Master of Science in Special Education from California State University, Long Beach, and her Master of Arts in Education: School Counseling from Concordia University Irvine. Outside of school, she is a professional Polynesian dancer who enjoys learning about and sharing Polynesian culture. She also loves to travel and is always looking forward to her next adventure.

Mr. Nathan Poole holds a Bachelor's Degree, Multiple Subject Credential, and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix, as well as an Education Specialist Credential from the Teacher's College of San Joaquin. He is an Education Specialist who teaches Math Strats, Academic Lab, and co-teaches in Math 1 and Algebra 2 and has taught students in every grade level from K-12. Mr. Poole’s current passion at CSArts, where he has been teaching since 2019, is to help students find their own passions and help prepare them to chase their dreams.

Our Behavior Intervention Aides are passionate individuals who are in the classrooms daily helping all student learners with their varying needs. Our aides include Nicolle Corea Pinto, Sophia Davis, Melissa Hernandez, Sandy Moses, Cristal Reyes, Natalie Wilde, and occasionally subbing is Nancy Cuardros.
