AP EXAM INFORMATION
If you or your student are new to the Advanced Placement (AP) program, please watch our AP Exam Information presentation. This video covers the AP Program at CSArts-SGV and its implications for the college application process, along with need-to-know information regarding AP exam ordering and registration for the 2025-2026 school year.
The 2026 AP Exams will be administered over two weeks in May: May 4-15. You may find the whole schedule here.
All students currently in an AP class at CSArts-SGV are eligible to take a corresponding AP exam. Students are encouraged to register and pay only for those exams they are committed to taking.
PURCHASING AN EXAM – Students wishing to take an AP exam this year should pay for the exam(s) through Total Registration that they should set up as soon as possible. The exam fee established by College Board for each test is $103, and 66 if you qualify for FRLP. When ordering exams, we highly encourage both student and parent to be present to ensure that the correct exams are ordered. Please print/save your emailed receipt of payment for your records as students may be asked for this for future reference or refunds. The deadline for purchasing an exam is Friday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m. Students must purchase exams on Total Registration and register with their AP teacher’s AP Classroom section on the College Board website. They will then indicate whether they intend to take the exam or not on AP Classroom. Every student who indicates “yes” must also have purchased the exam through Total Registration. The deadline to turn their indicator on AP Classroom is Friday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m. Teachers will remind students regularly to make sure to do both if they intend to take an exam.
LATE TESTING POLICY - College Board’s policy for administering alternate AP exams can be found here. CSArts-SGV only offers late-testing when multiple tests are offered at the same time or in emergency situations. Depending on the circumstances, late-testing may require additional fees to cover ordering and proctor fees.

Students will be notified of their testing location prior to their exam date.
AP SCORES - In July 2026, students will be able to receive and send their AP scores to colleges by phone with College Board’s automated grade reporting service. Extensive information regarding AP Exams, including practice questions may be found here.
