Practice Tests: Pre-ACT & PSAT

CSArts Counselors recommend that all Sophomores (10th Graders) take the practice ACT and SAT exams, so they can identify which one they naturally do better on and like best.

CSArts offers practice exams for the ACT (Pre-ACT) and SAT (PSAT) each fall.  Please note, the fall practice test score reports are given back to student/parents at our annual Score Pass Back Night (in January).

To register for a practice test here at CSArts, please do so on the SGV Box Office During Online Registration.

College Entrance Exams: ACT & SAT

CSArts Counselors recommend that all 11th Graders take their first “real” test of their choice (ACT or SAT) during the spring of their junior year. This gives them the most time and exposure to their academic curriculum and also gives them time to get their scores back before going into senior year. Please note, the last time to sit for either the ACT or SAT is the December test date of senior year.

To register for an official ACT or SAT (off-campus), please visit the official testing websites. *Please note, CSArts is not a testing site for the official ACT or SAT.

SAT II Subject Tests

Some competitive colleges recommend or even require that students complete at least a couple of SAT Subject Tests (SAT II tests) to showcase their strengths in particular subject areas. Therefore, CSArts Counselors recommend that students take the SAT II test(s) that corresponds with the advanced placement (AP) course(s) they complete in a given year (May/June).

To register for the official SAT II Subject Tests (off-campus), please visit the official College Board website.

Advanced Placement (AP) Exams

CSArts Counselors recommend that students take the AP exam(s) that corresponds with the advanced placement (AP) course(s) they complete in a given year (May).

To register for an AP Exam (on-campus), please check back on our website later for more details.
