California School of the Arts offers a unique set of elective courses to meet the needs and talents of our students and to give them the opportunity to explore a variety of art forms. Instead of offering more traditional physical education classes, students can register to take Tap, Musical Theatre Dance, Taekwondo, Ceramics, Hip Hop, Piano, and many more. At the end of the year, students in elective courses produce a culminating performance to showcase the skills they have been working on all year. The Elective Showcase is an exciting time for students to show off their skills and parents to see the work being done in elective classes.
