In collaboration with Citrus Community College CSArts-SGV students are able to take up to two-years of transferable college courses for free while enrolled at CSArts-SGV.

Early College at CSArts-SGV is tuition FREE! All fees, books, and course materials are waived while enrolled in a dual-enrollment course. Enrolling in Early College program courses can significantly save families college expenses in the future.   • All Dual-Enrollment Courses are held to Citrus College Expectations and Standards

  • All Dual-enrollment courses will include a permanent grade on CSArts-SGV & Citrus Community College Transcripts

  • English and Psychology courses are held asynchronously, however a CSArts-SGV instructor will be providing dual-enrollment college course support during the academic day for students.

  • ​Citrus College student education records are maintained in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 and the California Education Code. Written student consent is required for access and release of information defined as educational records in federal and state law as described in Citrus College Administrative Procedure 5040.   • The CSArts-SGV academic dual-enrollment courses satisfy various required IGETC categories for the CSU and UC system. See the below chart for more information how CSArts-SGV courses satisfy the IGETC requirements

TWO TYPES OF DUAL-ENROLLMENT COURSES OFFERED AT CSARTS-SGV

Synchronous Dual-Enrollment Course

  • Class are taken during the school day and taught by CSArts-SGV employees who are also employed by Citrus College

  • Classes will only be with CSArts-SGV students

  • Students DO NOT pay any fees or materials costs

  • Students receives both high school credit and college credit upon successful completion of the course

Asynchronous Dual-Enrollment Course

  • Classes are not live, students complete course work during the school day under the supervision of a CSArts-SGV teacher. 

  • The student spends one semester learning college material to aid in their understanding of the content matter and to prepare the student for the next level of college instruction.

  • The student spends a second semester enrolled in the dual-enrollment course taught by a Citrus College professor. A CSArts-SGV teacher will be supporting the class during the school day.

  • Classes will only be with CSArts-SGV students

  • Students DO NOT pay any fees or materials costs

  • Students receives both high school credit and college credit upon successful completion of the course

Dual Enrollment Drop Policy

Students enrolled in a Citrus College Dual Enrollment course who would like to drop after the semester has started need to complete that process through wingspan. Please Click Here to view the webpage to drop a Dual-Enrollment course. CSArts-SGV Administrators, Directors and Counselors are not able to drop the course for the student. Failure to drop a course through wingspan will result in the course and resulting grade showing up on the students Citrus College Transcript.
